Deborah Proehl's Biography
As a top Real Estate Broker for RE/MAX Realty Consultants in Greensboro, NC, I enjoy helping my clients making good decisions regarding one of their largest investments - their home. Buying or selling your home can be a very emotional time. It is my mission to help my clients reach their goals during the real estate process.
Family values and the desire to help others is why I became a real estate professional more than a decade ago. Prior to working in real estate, I spent 15 years as a television anchor and reporter in the southeast. In 2001, I lived one of the scariest days of my life when my nanny took my 5 month old son to her second job and lied about where she had him. For six hours, I had no idea where she had taken my son Ford. I called home every 15 minutes hoping my nanny would pick up the phone. In that moment, I was unable to leave work and go home to find out if my son was indeed okay. That day changed my life and I realized I had to find a better way to balance work and family.
I chose real estate because it allowed me to pursue my passion to help others while allowing me to have the flexibility to put my family first. I learned from that very first year in real estate to now that the best way to serve my clients is to LISTEN carefully to their needs, ASK the right questions, BE a problem solver for them and FIND a solution to any challenges that may arise during any successful real estate transaction. The highest compliment that I have received from my past clients is the trust they place in me with their referrals of their friends, family and colleagues.
I have spent the last 23 years in the southeast. I was born in the Bronx, New York, grew up in New Jersey and attended college in Boston, Massachusetts. I enjoy exercising, professional football, hunting for antiques, being outdoors and spending time with family and close friends.
